I grew up eating Ramen, and when I moved to America my family started eating Instant Ramen. I’ve tried many different companies and brands. I tried 6 different types of instant ramen to try and figure out which one is the best. The brands I tried were Shin, Top Ramen, Koyo, Sapporo Ichiban, Geki, and Mama.
First I ate Top Ramen which was really easy to make and it was pretty good but it was a little bland, and the noodles were very thin and fragile.
Second, I tried SHIN ramen and it was overall pretty good. It was also pretty easy to make. The noodles were chewy and it absorbed the flavors very well. The ramen was pretty spicy but it still had flavor to it.
Third I tried the Koyo Tofu Miso, and at first it smelled a bit odd but it tasted good and the noodles were very high quality, and was very flavorful. It had more of a complex taste and a lot of different kinds of flavors. It was easy to make but took longer than the other ones.
Fourth was the SAPPORO ICHIBAN, it was easy to make, and had good noodles, they were chewy and flavor absorbing. The spicy packet wasn’t not spicy but it tasted good. It didn’t take that long and was easy to make. But the flavor packet tasted strong so I recommend adding a little more than half.
Fifth, GEKI Chili Bowl, it was spicy but very good. The spiciness takes over a little bit of the flavor but it is still good even with half of the flavor packet in it. It was very spicy, but it had very good noodles.
Sixth, MAMA, at first it smelled good. There were three different flavor packets, the packets had a sweet smell when mixed together in the noodles. The noodles weren’t good quality and ripped easily. It tasted sour and was not good.
Overall, I like SAPPORO the best because it had the most flavor and it had the best noodles. I recommend adding green onions and eating it with seaweed. But Shin was a close second because the noodles were really good, but I can’t handle spiciness.
