There’s always talk about how most stores are one size fits all and that there is always something for everyone but usually that’s not the case. Big stores like Walmart which makes around 648 billion dollars a year and Target which makes 107 million don’t provide for the needs of people who have allergies to most ingredients in foods or people who have a limited palette because of a numerous amount of things. Surprisingly one store sticks out from this norm seemingly giving its best to accommodate everyone.
This store is Trader Joes, the nearest Trader joes is located in Pittsford. Although it is about a 20 to 25 minute drive from Victor it’s the only one in the great 585. This store is a place for all. You can tell when you first enter and are greeted by workers and other customers, it almost gives off a neighborhood feeling. Depending when you go, the checkout lines might be long but it’s worth it once you start up a conversation with another customer in line or when the worker is checking you out. Even though the prices there are a bit higher, they are still reasonable for most.
If you need a few things from the store, Trader Joes has many different options of the same types of foods and products, from gluten and lactose free to many healthier options of food. From frozen to fresh you’ll be able to find something perfect for you, whether you want something homemade or premade they have it all.
Trader Joe’s layout is honestly how I feel every store should be. They get straight to the point and keep it simple by showing off some beautiful flowers, and whatever festive things they have in stock but it doesn’t bombard you when you just came to the store for a few things.
Even though they keep it simple they also do a great job with making it easier for customers to be able to find food items they need fast with their decorated signs for every item. The store has already been decorated as a fall setting. As soon as you walk into the store they offer pumpkins that you can buy while also having a variety of pumpkin flavored products spread out throughout the store.
One of my all time favorite snacks from Trader joes has to be the Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips because of their great intense flavor and how they’re always so crunchy, every bite full of crunch, and for such a
reasonable price they’re even better. They also won the top spot in the snack category at Trader Joe’s 14th Annual Customer choice awards.
Another one of my all time favorites is the ravioli, for example I always get the roasted cauliflower cheese or the vegan spinach and cashew ravioli which are both soooo delicious and hard to top. Even If you think you wouldn’t like it they have so many other options of ravioli to choose from, one of those will be your perfect fit.
Instead of going to a huge franchise that already makes hundreds of millions of dollars a day, going somewhere like trader joes helps bring awareness to foods that are made for everyone. Whenever you see yourself passing by Pittsford Plaza or need a few things for the next few days but want to keep it healthy, I highly recommend that Trader Joe’s is the place to shop!
