Beetlejuice is a 1988 comedy/thriller movie directed and produced by Tim Burton. It starred Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and others.
Beetlejuice stars many different famous actors that we know and have seen in roles in popular movies such as Catherine O’Hara who plays the mother in Home Alone. Or Winona Ryder who has been seen as playing the mother in Stranger Things. But the person who struck everyone’s attention in Beetlejuice was Michael Keaton who played Beetlejuice. He struck my attention because of the very famous dinner scene where he makes everyone at the dinner dance.
Beetlejuice is a movie including mixes of comedy and thriller that can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and was created by Michael McDowell and Warren Saakren. This movie is based on a young couple that lives in a beautiful house in the countryside and they die from drowning and become ghosts haunting their own house. Their house gets sold to a family from New York City and the family chooses to start remodeling it.
This movie made in 1988 doesn’t have the same technical advancements as a more recent film would but it still has a funny yet compelling plot. The differences between the old Beetlejuice and the old movie have different actors playing different characters and the old movie has a rating of PG but the new one is PG-13.
The lesson in Beetlejuice is the danger of not moving on, as the couple continuously tries to scare the new family out of their house in a ‘haunting’ way. I highly recommend this movie if you’re interested in paranormal movies or comedy movies because it’s a perfect mix of comedy and thriller.
