The Best Old Fash

Salvatore’s old fashioned Pizza is one of the best pizza places in Victor, but they also have a wide variety of other food options from subs to wings.

Let’s start with the pizza, my favorite is the pepperoni but they also have a wide selection of toppings you can choose from. Some of the pizzas they have are, Supreme, Chicken Charlie, The Salvatore, Veggie, Garlic, Meathead, Steak boomba and others.

Salvatore’s pizza uses a medium thick dough with crispy crust; their tomato sauce is very flavorful and they use the perfect amount. If you buy a large pizza from Salvatores they cut the pizza into squares which is nice because you get slices with crust and without crust. I would rate Salvatore’s pizza a 8.4 out of ten.

Let’s move onto the appetizers, Salvatore’s has an array of appetizers ranging from pizza fries to mozzarella sticks. Some more include fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms, chicken fingers, pizza fingers, and calamari.

My personal favorite is the mozzarella sticks, they are hand made and not frozen, the breading is a perfect thickness and the cheese is melted all the way through.

My only complaint with the mozzarella sticks is they use a different marinara sauce that is much more bland than the sauce they use on the pizza. I would rate the mozzarella sticks a 8.1 out of ten because of the sauce.

One of the more interesting appetizers on the menu is the buffalo calamari, if you don’t like fried calamari these definitely aren’t for you.

They are interesting because people don’t really combine hot sauce and sea food but these aren’t terrible, the calamari is good but I don’t think they go great together. I would rate the buffalo calamari a 5.4 out of ten.

Moving on to the wings, you can get boneless or bone-in. The size options are 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100.

I personally prefer the bone-in wings because the boneless are kind of just chicken tenders with sauce.

Salvatore’s offers a large selection of sauce as well, including jerk, garlic parmesan, mild, hot, sweet country, and BBQ.

My two favorites are the jerk, which is a dry rub and the buffalo hot. I usually get ranch with my wings but the blue cheese is also good, it is more of a creamy blue cheese with not a lot of crumble which is nice when dipping wings.

I think the wings at Salvatore’s are a little rubbery, they do have a lot of meat on them but they are not crispy enough. I give the wings a 7.3 because they are just not crispy enough.

Salvatore’s offers a large variety of sub options from cold to hot subs and you can even make your own.

The subs aren’t the best thing on the menu at Salvatores but they are still pretty good. They have all of the cold sub options that you would see at a sub place and a lot more options in the hot subs selection.

Some of my favorites are the Shaved steak and the chicken parm. I prefer the hot subs because the bread they have is very dry and the hot meat softens the bread up a little bit.

I like the shaved steak because they cut it really thin and it is very easy to consume. The chicken in the chicken parm is very good but I think the chicken breast is too big and thick, I would like it if they added more sauce.

Overall I would give the subs a 5 out of ten because the bread is just too dry.

Salvatore’s is a great spot to get big pizzas for parties or if you just need a quality slice of pizza, their appetizers are solid if you are looking for a quick snack or want to share one with a friend. Overall I give Salvatore’s a 7 out of ten.
