Victory For The Blue Devils
After a long awaited four years the boys lacrosse team hit gold by winning the Class B championship over Spencerport. The first half of the game was a nail biter as both teams were scoring back and forth.
The first half ended Victor with 5 goals and Spencerport with 4. The second half was when it got real. Middie Sam Ricci kept winning faceoff’s which gave Victor so much offensive momentum.
In the blink of an eye Victor was winning by was up 6 by the end of the third quarter and Spencerport was not able to get anything going and stayed with 4. In the 4th quarter Victor kept the pedal to the metal as they were able to score 5 more goals.
It was a great performance by the team but there was a key offensive standout player for victor which was Thomas Gravino. He dominated this game and was key for Victors victory.
The game ended up being 16 to 4 Victor. If the Victor Blue Devils keep playing with this level of energy I won’t be shocked if we see them playing in the state championship.
