Murder Mystery, written by James Vanderbilt, directed by Kyle Newacheck and produced by Happy Madison, is a film worth watching if you like scary but funny movies
Comedy superstars Jennifer Aniston and the incomparable Adam Sandler share both screen time and top billing. Without their skills in comedic timing, physical gaffes, and general affability, a film so obviously named might fall flat. This film does anything but that.
Central to the story is the titular mystery, Untrustful but interested Nick and Audrey Spitz go on a random yacht from a stranger. Once they go on the yacht they find out that this family has some issues as well as lots of arguments. Suddenly the lights go off and one of the family members is murdered, they all go to their rooms and hear a gunshot and someone else is killed. So it’s all up to the Spitz’s to find out the mystery killer.
