Grammy award winner Aubrey “Drake” Graham has been an award winning artist for over a decade, his most recent award was for the song ‘Wait for you’ from his collaboration with Future. For Graham’s relationship controversy, while being a Canadian TV star Drake’s fame still remains the same. He has been working hard for over a decade coming out with top hits left and right. Most of Drake’s songs turn into top hits.
His songs ‘Spin Bout U’’ and ‘Rich Flex’ from his album ‘Her Loss’, which was another collaboration with fellow artist 21 Savage have been a big hit on the app TikTok over the past year. Both songs getting over 200 million streams.
‘Her Loss’ launched Nov 4th 2022 and hit No.1 on Billboard’s top 200 within the first week of its release, passing Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Taylor Swift after that week ‘Her Loss’ being his 12th No.1 album after being tied with each artists albums on the top 200 charts for about a year.
The ‘Her Loss’ being one of my favorite albums consists of 16 songs at an hour’s length of playtime. Most songs average at about 3 minutes. The song ‘Hours in Silence’ has a playtime of 6:39, being the longest song on his album.
My ranking for this album would be a solid 8/10
Graham’s debut started back in the early 2000s when he played the role of Jimmy Brooks on the popular Canadian TV show ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. His music career then eventually began blowing up when his hit single ‘So Far Gone’ reached Billboard’s top 200 back in 2009.
If we look back to the majority of Drake’s albums almost all have been top hits. Drake’s Album Scorpion being another one of my top favorites. His Genres bounce between R&B/Soul, AfroPop, Blues, and HipHop/Rap being a fan favorite.
Graham just recently dropped his newest album For All The Dogs on October 6th. Which contains 23 songs and has a run time of an Hour and 24 minutes.
I’d rank it a solid 4th Place out of all of his albums. ‘Her Loss’ Coming in First, ‘Scorpion’ in Second, ‘Certified Lover Boy’ in Third and ‘For All The Dogs’ Placing in 4th. But yet again he released another banger.
Overall Graham is an amazing Artist with a ton of amazing work and I can’t wait to see what album he’ll be dropping next.
