Bruno Mars’s songs at the beginning of his career were always superior to the ones now, but I’ve been anticipating a new release that might surpass the old tracks. Then, on August 16, 2024, the singer-songwriters Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga released a single, “Die With a Smile”, finally making a comeback in the music industry.

This track, produced by Mark Ronson, features both artists as the primary stars. There is a unique blend of music styles and powerful vocals. The song’s general plot revolves around themes of life, love, death, and finding joy in situations.

The song is a soft rock ballad that blends pop, soul, country, and rock. The music video for “Die With a Smile” captures the song’s upbeat 70s vibe. It’s overall set in a retro-inspired TV studio, while in Western fashion.

People are going crazy over this unexpected duet of Bruno and Gaga. These artists are known for up-tempo fun records, not necessarily known for these types of powerhouse vocals. Yet, this duet immensely blew everyone away.

Both artists have been out of the pop culture scene for a while now, with no new showstopping releases or major appearances. The last we’ve heard of a blockbuster song from either artist was back in 2017-2018. The vanish of Bruno and Gaga left fans eagerly waiting for a grand comeback.

“Die with a Smile” reached first on Billboard’s worldwide rankings–the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. US after only being released for 2 weeks. 

Overall, “Die With a Smile” is my absolute favorite song. It’s so upbeat and catchy, along with amazing lyrics and vocals. There are so many aspects to this single that it will be hard for me to get sick of it! I highly recommend this song because of its fun and energetic vibe. It’s perfect for lifting your mood and singing along with your friends.
