Grammy winner Aubrey Drake Graham dropped arguably his best album Take Care on November 15th 2011. This album has 18 songs all with millions of views and listens. The album was Drake’s second ever studio album and now his most successful album.
I believe that Take Care is Drake’s best album he has ever created because in this album there are many songs that everyone knows and loves.
The first song on the album is Over My Dead Body and this song is about addressing his haters and talking about his success and how he made it. This song is very downbeat and sets the tone of the rest of the album which is a slow, chill album.
After a couple songs in the album the song Marvin’s Room is played and it’s about his call with his ex girlfriend where he talks about his loneliness without her and that she should come back for him by leaving her current boyfriend.
After you keep listening you will hear the song HYFR which features Lil Wayne where they talk about their past challenges and how his rise of fame made him super successful. And a song that everyone has heard before Headlines is a very upbeat song about how he rose to fame fast and how pressuring it is, as well as how determined he is to stay at the top.
This album has very meaningful lyrics that many people can relate to which is why so many people enjoy this album. “Jealousy is just love and hate at the same time.” This lyric is relatable to people’s everyday lives and something many people can relate to which makes the music feel more personal.
Another meaningful lyric would be “Cause that truth hurts and those lies heal.” This lyric is something everyone can relate to because we all want to hear the lie that makes us feel better about ourselves and about our lives rather than the truth because we know it will hurt us.
This album personally is my favorite Drake album and it’s been with me through everything. I think everyone should listen to this album and hopefully enjoy it as much as I do. Despite the controversy that’s going on between Drake right now, I think that he has made an impact on the music industry not just from this album, but with all his albums.
