Sweet treats, more importantly cookies are a big deal. Everything matters: the smell of the bakery, the quality, and price. Although Crumbl cookie and Insomnia cookies are two of the top places around, a hidden gem called Leo’s bakery is not too far away.

So why drive far and pay more when you can get even better close to home? Leo’s bakery is located on 101 Despatch Drive, East Rochester, NY 14445. 

The cookies aren’t expensive, But they also offer so much more! As soon as I walked in the shop I immediately got the aroma of freshly baked goods. Each cookie whether it’s a classic chocolate chip or a seasonal flavor were all delicious. 

Leo’s commitment to making each cookie’s quality, looks, and taste all met my standards, even the price. I got a 2 pack of pretty big sized cookies for only $4.00 . Now comparing that to some of its competitors I thought was a great bang for my buck.

I got a pack of 2 frosted cookies: A chocolate base with a thick orange and black frosting for fall. The ratio of  cookie and frosting was just enough sweetness, but not too much.The cookies cost $4.00. I also got a pack of 10 chocolate chip cookies, because I had to try a basic, the pack of 10 cookies was $4.50.

The chocolate chip cookies were perfect – Not too soft and not too much

 chocolate. The cookie had a golden brown edge and a soft chewy middle with a perfect balance of sweet and salty. 

If you get the chance to go into Leo’s bakery, I definitely would say it’s worth it. You can also get deli goods too! The half of the store is a bakery and the other half is a deli. So if you’re in the mood for a meal and desert this is the spot for you.
