Known for teaching chemistry, and AP Statistics, Mr. Schraver is one of the fantastic teachers in our school.

I had the honor of being Mr. Schraver’s student last year in chemistry. As someone who didn’t completely understand chemistry, and struggled, Mr. Schraver made the year much more enjoyable, all while taking the time to improve my chemistry skills.

Mr. Schraver has been teaching for 21 years. This is Mr. Schraver’s first year where he has not taught AP Statistics.

Mr Schraver enjoys math in chemistry and one of his favorite units in AP chemistry is one of the first units in the course because it’s more heavy on the math skills and it is also important.

Before coming to Victor he was an adjunct professor at FLCC for biology and then did a year at Byron-Bergen high school when he was finishing his certification.

While being in Victor he has been teaching Chemistry the whole time he has been here and taught Biology for a few years.

Along with teaching, Mr. Schraver has also coached JV soccer and is planning to start coaching again this year.

Mr. Schraver has been playing soccer for a while, “I still play soccer myself, I keep telling myself to retire but I haven’t quite managed that yet.”

When it comes to family, Mr. Schraver is very family oriented. He has been married for 26 years and has 3 children, two of which are currently attending college and while his one daughter is a senior at Fairport High School. One of the reasons he took a break from coaching was to be able to watch his son run in cross country.

Outside of class Mr. Schraver and his family have a camp in the Adirondacks that he goes to with his family in the spring time and throughout the summer. “I love getting outdoors, I love to go camping, canoeing, paddle boarding, and kayaking and anything on the water I really enjoy.” and he also likes to walk his dogs and do anything active.
