After a long Indoor Track and Field season, Many athletes have Qualified for State Qualifiers. But only a few will achieve their goal of making it to States hosted at Ocean Breeze in New York City.

Senior sprinter and Youngstown commit Melody Harloff is on her way to states as she ranks 5th in New York and 8th in the country for the open 55. And also ranks 10th in the state and 60th in the country for the 300 which she will also be running at the state meet. As well as the open 55 which she broke her personal record at the qualifying meet and 55 meter dash, As she ran a 7.15 Melody also ran the 300 with a time of 40.42 which was also another personal best. 

Senior sprinter, hurdler and jumper Terreque Davis won the 55 hurdles at State Qualifiers and moved on to the state meet this Friday. He also recorded a new Personal best with a time of 7.99, moving him to 4th on the section 5 leaderboard. 

Emma Goodell, only an 8th grader, won the girls 55 hurdles. She recorded a personal best of 8.86 at the Section V Championship meet. She placed 3rd place. She ran a 8.74 her best of the season to help her advance to her first state meet as she hopes to have many more in the upcoming seasons.
