Senior Canisus commit Brady Robinson.

As the spring season approaches , The Victor Lacrosse team is getting ready for another great season after going 17-1 in the 2022 season.

Ultimately losing their first game in the second round against Canandaigua who they beat earlier in the season with a score of 7-2. “ It sucked, it didn’t feel real, ”said senior Goalie Brady Robinson.

The lacrosse team was fortunate to only lose 2 starting seniors. Aiden Wheeler (Defense) playing at St. John Fishers and Louis Germain (Defense) playing at St. Bonaventure.

With 14 seniors committed Victor will be losing a load of talent. Seniors Thomas Gravino (Maryland), Ryan Dodge (Stony Brook), Sam Gotham (Stony Brook), Liam Wheeler (Jacksonville), Brady Robinson (Canisius), Paxton Marshall (Georgetown), CJ Palmiere (Lynn University), Sam Ricci (Cornell), Bobby Schaeffer ( St. Rose), Ethan Adrid (Ithaca), Alan Miller  (Queens U of Charlotte), Dom Pezzimenti (Le Monye), Connor Magin (Indianapolis), Sean Bonhag (Marywood).

Senior Jacksonville commit Liam Wheeler

“I will miss the team chemistry and the bond that our team has. Most of us seniors have been playing together for very close to 10 years if not more. And that makes us really good as a team and will be missed when we no longer will be playing together” said senior Midfielder Liam Wheeler.

 

 

 

Returning players

Juniors Cam Ryan (Navy) and Jack Herendeen (White).

Jack Herendeen (Attack), a junior committed to play lacrosse at Cornell. Was pulled up, halfway through his 2021 JV season and was thrown into the starting position. Led the team with 27 assists during his freshman year. During his sophomore year he earned All-greater Rochester honorable mention and all league first team attack and was second in section V with (47) assists.

Cam Ryan (Defense/Midfield) , also a Junior, committed to play lacrosse at Syracuse. His freshman year spent most of his season on JV and was pulled up to the varsity team for sectionals. In his sophomore season Cam played Short Stick Defense/Midfield and recorded 1 goal and 2 assists. And was also named 2022 All-League 2nd Team Def Midfield (MC-d2).

Sophomore Midfielder Kyle Seager

Kyle Seager (Midfield), Upcoming sophomore currently uncommitted. Kyle started off the 2022 season on the varsity team and scored 22 goals along with 9 assists for the Devils. Starting his high school career strong he was awarded 2022 All-League 2nd Team Attack (MC-d2). 

 

 

 

As well as players like JT Werkmeister (Midfielder), Brody Secker (Midfielder), Christian Besaw (Attack), Simon Kowal (Midfielder), Tanner Radogna (Midfielder), Dennis Cole (Defense), Michael Peluso (Attack), Noah Ruffalo (Defense), Parker Erwin (Goalie), Jacob Loughlin (Defense), Jackson Paolozzi (Defense), Aidan Clinkscales (Midfield).

The Devils start off traveling to Maryland to face the number 12 team in the nation St. Mary. “the first game against St Mary is the big game for us right now. one game at a time” said senior Brady Robinson.

With 32 returning players and one of the best goalies in the section with a strong offense led by Senior Thomas Gravino, the Devils hope to make a long run this season.
