The Night of Nights (Junior Prom)

It was the night of nights for the Victor Senior High Juniors this past April 29th. The “be our guest” theme was brought to life from all the gorgeous dresses and flashy suits. Everyone was ready for a fun night of dancing. The smiles sparkled throughout the night as the students were eager to have a day all to themselves with zero responsibilities.

The students all started arriving at 6 p.m. before they were served an exquisite meal of pizza and chicken fingers at 7 p.m. After they ate, the dance floor was officially opened and everyone flew to the wood platform to bust out some moves.

When Ed Sheeran came over the speakers one of the students, Keshil, took his shining opportunity and sang to the crowd over the microphone. The mosh pit of students all gathered closer to the DJ booth cheering him on and waving their phone flashlights in the air.

“The amount of support and celebration that was shared throughout the Junior class was honestly astonishing” said the anonymous junior, “It was so nice to finally be together with my whole class and share such an amazing experience, we all will remember this night for the rest of our lives.”

After the private concert from Keshil, the DJ turned up the tunes to some upbeat music to please the crowd once more. The songs ranged from Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus, No Hands by Waka Flocka Flame, and Crank That by Souja Boy

Carter Ike said, “We all love these songs but the most unfortunate part is the constant blurr of bad words; we aren’t children and can handle ourselves with a couple of bad words.” This was the most common comment from the Junior class. As most are old enough to listen to these songs with cuss words, the school still has to follow its rules even when not in the school building.

While the whole class was being celebrated, the DJ decided to switch up the music and create a romantic vibe for the couples out in the crowd. As most people left the dance floor because of their lack of dates, we got to spot the cute couples having a romantic moment with each other.

The rest of the night was back and forth with fast upbeat music like Fireball by Pitbull to slow dancing music such as Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs.

The time finally came around 9 p.m. where most students left Eagle View and headed out to the scattered amounts of get togethers and after parties. “We know exactly what the students are going to go out and do. The ONLY thing we can do is warn them of the clear and present dangers and tell them to be careful.” said administration.

The night overall was a blast and it was amazing to see a wide variety of people come together to celebrate themselves and their accomplishments they made their Junior year.
