The cafeteria got a design before this year of school started, alongside this had an overhaul of the “snackery” including someone (not exactly) new at the stand. Her name is Mrs. Haggerty (goes by “Cat”) and this is about her and her job at the snackery.
Cat has had this job for years. Her motivation to have this sort of job was her aunt, who was her favorite person. Her aunt being a lunch lady inspired her to live up to her aunt’s footsteps. Since age 18, She has been in the food service industry. Cooking up and serving food to people who need it, for this school it’s the students here.
When the cafeteria started getting its redesign, She only then had gotten her role when one of her co-workers said that she would be a good fit for the snack bar that was at that time, currently being redesigned into the “snackery”. Since then, she has been the one and only snackery lady our school has.
Cat seems positive and happy to have this be her role as she is confident and passionate for her work here. On Top of that, there’s not much she has issues with; “I just don’t like it when the cafeteria gets a little messy, …people throwing stuff on the floor”.
She does seem to enjoy managing the snacks this school has to offer to the students, especially the cookies; The most popular snacks people tend to grab from the snackery are cookies here, all of the different varieties of them are all baked and made in the kitchen here at the school.
Mrs. Haggerty will be here for the remainder of the school year, serving the snacks to the kids in the cafeteria. Hopefully, her positive energy can brighten your day the next time you choose to treat yourself, after all. In her words, “I’m just here to make your guys’ day better.”
