Mrs. Postle is a senior high school teacher’s aide. If you know Mrs. Postle, then you know how much she helps people in the classroom; you know that every time you have a question, she will answer your question, especially in science. She also helps the teachers when they are extremely busy and when kids have questions; she will assist wherever she can.
Mrs. Postle never thought about teaching. She would have been a “forensic scientist” until she volunteered in a classroom at Victor Central School. She fell in love with helping kids, and now it’s her 7th year at Victor Schools as a teacher aide. She also got to spend more time with her daughters at school.
She says the reason she chose Victor was that when she was volunteering, everyone supported each other, and the atmosphere was great in the school, so it made her want to join Victor. At Victor, she can spend more time with her kids, help students, and grow a relationship with her students throughout the school year.
One thing that’s not commonly known about Mrs. Postle is that she was assigned a blind student for 5 years. Mrs. Postle said that it was hard at some points. You can’t just s
ay the word “there” because the student doesn’t know what she is talking about. Mrs. Postle had to figure out how to help the student through her high school years, as it was Mrs. Postle’s first year working as a teacher’s aide.
She is also a mom of 4 beautiful daughters and works as an event staff at the school for school sports. It makes her happy to see all the kids cheering, and she loves watching the games and cheering them on, too.“It’s fun, I love it when the student section is cheering on their team. I think it helps the team on the field when the student section is proud and cheering them on.”
If you ever have Mrs. Postle in a classroom, you will love her immensely; she will make you work, but she will also provide a great deal of help.
