Imagine you’re on a long car ride through the mountains or sitting at a campfire with family and friends roasting a marshmallow. Well this is exactly what listening to The Revivalists album “Pour It Out Into The Night” feels like which is performed by artists David Shaw, the lead vocalist, Zack Feinberg, Ed Williams, Rob “, George Gekas, Andrew Campanelli, Michael Girardot, and PJ Howard.
This album although came out in 2023 it sure still matches the vibe today. The songs in this album are full of catchy melodies and can so easily get stuck in your head but in a good way so do not worry.
“Pour It Out Into The Night” is The Revivalists’ fifth studio album and is for sure a hit. As of today there has been about thirteen million streams for this album growing by the minute. A couple other albums that seem to be a fan favorite is “Men Amongst Mountains” which has a total of 14 songs.
In “Pour It Out Into The Night” there are many highly listened to songs in this album, “Kid” is a big standout. More than 12 million people have listened to this amazing song who have ranked it about four to five stars.
This is a highly enjoyed song particularly because of the upbeat rhythm bringing up our moods and possibly changing our perspectives on life.
A couple of lyrics that stuck out to me was when the band chorused,
“Just sing the songs
That wake the dead then
You keep them ringing in your head…
You gotta get it off your chest.”
These lyrics stick out although to me primarily because it expresses the meaning behind finding hope and overcoming self-doubt.
After listening to this album multiple times I have discovered that the sole purpose of this album is to share the importance of living life to the fullest even though there may be some obstacles to overcome. Some people including myself may enjoy The Revivalists’ music just to have a good time or then, there are some who may want to listen to their pieces just to learn more and take it in deeply.
Personally, one of the songs I have been listening to on repeat is “Down In The Dirt”. This song definitely brings out the folk-rock feeling. Starting off slow and more on the down low about a minute in, it does pick up to the best parts, which tends to bring up my spirits.
The Revivalists are also currently in concert for their tour called “All in the Family: 10 Years of Men Amongst Mountains” celebrating their 10 year anniversary of their top album.
As a person who listens to music almost 24/7, I am extremely surprised I have never heard this band before. They certainly bring out the genre folk-rock/alternative rock.
If you ever are struggling to find someone new to listen to or just want another alternative rock band to try out, The Revivalists are surely a top suggestion.
